Trillium Lake

We hiked nearby Trillium Lake yesterday.

The ever-present Mt. Hood

This spot puts me in mind of an L.L. Bean catalog.

The path is an easy 2-mile loop.

We stop for lunch.

Admire the flora.

And the fauna.

It amazes me just how dense the forest grows in these parts.

The thick growth is due to the typical rain and fog we have experienced the last 2 days.  The results make it hard to complain about the weather.

  3. Yes, the Pacific Northwest is beautifully green - paid for with all that rain. And, yes, too, we could certainly use some, or all of it this year in California. It's solo dry and hot. I'm parked at my son's house in Cottonwood at the northern end of the Central Valley; we're coming up to a prediction of ten days of 104-112F and DRY! It's so dangerous for forest fires, home fires, every kind of fire.
Keep on having "too much fun" a la Barney!
